The carbs on the hood are actual Preadator carbs, but they are not in use on the truck. The truck has what I call a "parade motor", a single-carb 460ci mill. The Predators complete the look of the truck (and fill the opening in the hood) but are not user-friendly for the kinds of gigs BF1 now performs...charity events, parades, the occasional ride arround for a sponsor, diginitary, contest winner, etc. The truck is no longer counted on to perform in events...it is counted on to start and run flawlessly every time, for extended periods of time. Trying to tune/maintain multiple Predators and use them in that sort of environment just wouldn't work well. BF1's 640ci all-aluminum triple-Predator mill still sits in the showroom, and could be dropped back in if ever there was a need.

Hope this clears it up a bit. It isn't a sham or a fraud, it is simple a comprimise between looks and driveability/reliablity. Trust me...the gigs I've taken it to since joining BF (Auto Meter Parade, SEMA, a couple displays, Atlanta NHRA, etc) have made me a believer in the setup. I'd love to see a blower motor under the hood and hopefully we'll have the time someday to make something like that a reality, but for now what the truck has works well.

That's cool. You ought to try to make it to the open house one of these years.

Yes, they can. These are a few pics. I took of it last summer. Kyle, where were those pictures taken? Steve

Here is the induction setup that was asked about. To the casual observer walking by you would never notice it. It was actually pretty tough to photograph. It looks ok and the motor is a whole lot simpler this way. Steve
